The Albertine Adoue, the last sailing vessel to serve as Abaco's mailboat, was replaced by the Priscilla, a diesel-powered converted sailboat, in 1923. This image was used as the cover illustration for "Abaco, The History of an Out Island and its Cays" written by Steve Dodge and is available from White Sound Press. Steve is a good friend of Phil's and resides part time in Hopetown. |
